Utah's Own Conference - 5/06/15

This FREE workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 6 at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield - 200 South 800 West - The Atrium Room. Registration begins at 9:00 am with presentations, breakouts and lunch from 9:30 to 12:30. Admission and lunch is free. Local farmers, ranchers, restaurant owners, caterers, food entrepreneurs and any others that grow, manufacture, distribute or sell food are invited to attend. Those not currently in the business but are curious and/or want to start a food business are also invited. The Workshop is open to all from Sanpete, Sevier, Juab, Millard, Piute, Wayne, Emery, Grand and San Juan Counties. This workshop will provide training on basics for going retail and other marketing options; international marketing; and, using trade shows to grow. Also, an overview of the Utah’s Own Chapter concept will be presented allowing attendees to participate in establishing local chapters and leadership. Presentations and information will be provided by: Luann Adams, Commissioner of the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food; Alan Christensen, Central Utah SBDC Director; Steve Reich, CEO of RMarketing Dept LLC; and, Jed Christenson, Director of Marketing for Utah’s Own and the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food. Seth Winterton and Tamra Watson with Utah’s Own will lead the discussions on forming local Chapters.
