In this session, Bri Frost from Cloud Range and Brock McKinley, Cyber Security Curriculum Consultant at Neumont University will break down how veterans can move from military service into cybersecurity careers through certification-stacked education, industry-aligned training, and real-world project experience. Drawing from Neumont’s work with veterans, employers, and military partners, this panel will explore how military roles map to cybersecurity functions, the difference between bootcamps, certificates, and degree-backed pathways, what employers actually look for in entry-level cyber talent, and how veterans can shorten the path from transition to employment.
